Hey I was wondering about this question and I've heard people talking about it. I was wondering if it's true and if anyone has any data or a website to prove that.

  1. BIG, BIG, BIG difference...

Cow farts are part of a zero sum game.  In other words the carbon that go to make up cow farts come from plants they eat.  The farts are processed by plants and other organisms and the total carbon circulates and doesn't increase.

Cars release carbon that was sequestered in oil and coal millions of years ago.  Each year that carbon increases the total carbon in the various cycles.  That is why using cows and horses for thousands of years didn't change a thing but as soon as the industrial revolution started to use sequestered coal and oil the problem started to build.

  2. I don't have a website, but it's most certainly not likely that cow farts cause more pollution than cars. If you think about it, human farts would far outweigh the amount of cow farts in the world. X_X
