  1. Eventually, yes.  Nature designed a cow to live to life span of approximately 20 years.  The endless cycle of pregnancy and lactation leaves the average dairy cow spent after 4 or 5, at which point she is slaughtered.

  2. Dairy cows are slaughtered when they can no longer produce enough milk to satisfy the demands put on it.

The way it's set up is that a cow is made pregnant, she births the calf, and the calf is immediately taken away so that they can milk her. For a year. Then they have to start over because the milk supply is out. It's a pretty merciless process.

Of course, all animals have to die eventually, so...it shouldn't be a huge surprise that dairy cows are no exception.

  3. The cows are slaughtered after 5 years of milking.

Their babies are slaughtered after about 5 days for veal (if they're male) or they will be impregnated about 6 months after being born and get the same fate as their mothers (if they're female)

  4. the cows that are slaughtered are usually the ones that don't give milk, they are beefers or the cow has dried up and is no longer valuable to the milk industry, so hamburger it is

  5. cows are made to produce milk and after tehy cna no longer produce milk ( about 5 years or so) they are slaughtered and made into burgers

  6. No, but their male children do (veal), their female children get enslaved in the dairy industry like them about are abused daily for the next 9 years after being forced to overproduce their milk. Then if they are not too sick they are slaughtered.

What the h**l? 5 down? I answered her question with the exact truth!

  7. Yes they do. Period.  After the cow has a baby, it's taken away from them so humans milk them until they can no longer make babies or produce milk. Then they kill it, just like meat cows. The factories don't care about which cow is 'supposed' to die or not, meat is meat to them. Very Sad.   So, yes dairy cows most likey  get slaughtered just like meat cows.

  8. Well they try and get as much milking usage out of the cow as posable. when the cow is too old or can't make any more milk then it is takin to the slaughterhouse. But it would be a bit of a waste if they milked it once then slaughted it.

When the cow gives birth to a calf the females go to dairy and males to the veal industry.
