Do crayfish get along with bettas??

i have my Betta in the same tank as my crayfish. will they get along. the tank is pretty small

  1. If your tank is smaller than 20 gallons, then you need to remove the crayfish or the bettas.  In a large tank you may be able to pull that off, but the crayfish will nip at the bettas and/or visa/versa in a smaller tank.

  3. Betta's tend to stay on the surface. They should be fine.

  4. No, I have tried that already, the betta quickly started losing chunks of fins., they don't mix well, that was in a 37 gallon tall.

  5. For some reason, Betta hate anything that's all up in their space. They are best living alone because they are very protective of their territory, so keep them in separate tanks.

  6. crayfish eat any other fish they can catch,, even if its bigger than them.

    Bettas are especially easy for a cray to catch, due to the fact that they are slow, and have long fins, prefect for grabbing.
