Yes they work, however a more cost effective version would either be buying the Listerine White Strips, or making a mixture of Hydrogen Peroxide with Baking Soda and placing it on your teeth. Check the link for some other remedies as well.

You could also try Listerine Whitening, it's a mouthwash. However results take around 2-3 months to gain benefits. However they last for a while.
