In Georgia we do.

No, they get a city employee ID card, but not a badge.

Some do; in NYC the ADA's do.

no, i think they just have those id name plates like to get in to the court rooms.

They don't in Virginia.  You get a nice city ID card on a lanyard.  It's kind of cool because you can open up all of the courtrooms and the judges' chambers with it.  Probation, parole, sheriffs, and police officers do get badge though.

I also have an ID from a state criminal justice agency.  I got that though doing my internship in that department though.  That's not something criminal lawyers usually have.
