I'm doing a paper on why gas prices should go down and trying to make the point that the travel industry is affected.

  1. The above answer is correct, but for your paper, I just heard that OPEC asked Saudi Arabia to pump more oil so that we can bring down the price of fuel. So far, they refused.

  2. Some use diesel but some use "bunker C".

Depending on temperature, bunker C can have about the consistency of molasses. It has to be heated prior to use.

  3. it does affect travel....I just went on a cruise and now u have to pay $105 fuel supplement b/c of the sky high prices of gas!!!

  4. Well cruise ships don't run on gasoline.  They use Diesel which helps to produce greater power to engines.  Of course, diesel is just another form of petroleum product so this part of the travel industry does contribute to prices.

This is an economics issue called 'Supply and demand'.  As population increases, the demand for more travel and fuels to make this possible increase and prices go up.  I'm a sailor and particularly like the fact that I'm not using any fuel other than the natural source provided by the Earth's atmosphere.

  5. Well they don't use the same type of gasoline that goes in a car, but they do use a type of fuel similar to gasoline, which like gasoline, comes from crude oil and so is related to oil prices.

  6. Are u frickin stupid???????????????????
