I just bought the fish eye # 2 and my last three rolls look like they were taken with the fish eye 1 , the circle around looks white instead of black and the colors have no contrast whatsoever, could it be that the people from the lab made a mistake when developing the roll? they all look the same( trash) even though one is 200 and the other two 400.

  1. It definitely could be the people.

It also could be the film. 200 and 400 speed film won't have the same quality as a professional 100 speed film. In the link below, you see two photos of the same town in Mexico, taken with the same camera (a Voigtlander Bessa R). The first photo is taken with Kodak Gold 200. The second is Fujichrome Velvia 100. The difference is quote noticable, as the Kodak "Gold" looks weak.

I've had nice results with Kodak Ultra Color 100, Velvia 100, and Kodachrome 64.

  2. It is tough to make a mistake when using a colour film processing machine ... if the film is developed and the edge numbers are well developed, there was nothing wrong with the development of the film.

If you link us to an example we may be able to determine something, but until we can see it, it is hard to tell
