Question:

Do daily disposable really expire?

I'm normally an eyeglass wearer but I use daily disposable lenses on certain occassions. I have a box of lenses which has an expiration date that passed over a year ago. If the lenses are still sealed in their little packets, is there any significant risk in using expired lenses? Do the lenses break down over time or is it just a concern about the solution remaining sterile?
