  1. it's a buyer's market.

  2. If you've got cash, you've got some leverage.

Less now on popular fuel efficient models such as you

    want.

(They're practically giving away SUVs and pick-ups.)

Do price shop. Make them compete for the sale.

(They will waste youe time and try to hussle you into

a quick decision. - Don't be afraid to walk out.)

They need you more than you need them.

  3. Look at number on lot. If many he will be apt to deal. Look at markup on kbb.com. Civic only has 400 or so markup.

I work for Nissan. In January I had 50 Versa's on the lot and we would sell 1500 under invoice. Now we have 4-6 and you need to pay MSRP for one as this is our top seller.( only 400 markup on these.)

Buy soon!  GM marking up cars an average of 1000 next model year and others will follow suit. LOW rebates and incentives on lower priced cars and they will stop offering soon as no need to offer when the cars are selling.

    Good Luck!

  4. It will be hard to bargin at this moment due to the gas rocket.  Both Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla are totally the best car because they can get up to 40MPG.  But again right now we are in the recession, the dealer is hungry for the sale, you might can some bargin, but it will not below the invoice price for sure.  Good luck
