Do deer come back to their feeding spots during the night?

a deer was just eating in my front yard, but ran off- do they usually come back during the night?

Yes.  I have 6 in my side yard that I see when leaving my house at 4 am every morning.  There are also many "hot spots" on my route that I can guarantee to see certain groups every morning.  So it will probably be back, but you will also probably be asleep.
