Question:

Do dermal anchors hurt more than a septum?

I've had my septum pierced for about 5 months now, and I'd really like to get some dermal anchors. My septum was relatively painless; it was more of a tingling feeling rather than pain.

Although, a few other people have said that their septums hurt.

So now I'm thinking of getting four dermals on my back (two on each shoulder blade).

Do they hurt a significant amount?

How long do they take to heal?

And if anyones had them done; experiences?

  1. I have had my dermals anchors done.
I have two on my face. (Cheek bone) Below my eye.
Yes, they hurt. A lot. A h**l of a lot more than a septum.
My septum did not hurt at all.
I have had my dermals for over a year, and one is already rejecting.
But, that is because they are on my face.
They constantly get infected, if you do not take care of them.
    CONSTANTLY.
Mine do easily, because of the oils on my face, and when i do not take my make up off right away.
Dermals being on your back though, WILL snag, WILL be hit, WILL hurt.
They have a HIGH chance of being rejected fast and easy.
They take a year to fully heal all together.
Do not think of the pain, if you want them that bad though.
But, I would suggest somewhere that isn't bumped, or LAID on often.
    Be careful, stay safe.
