  1. We read all three of our children a book before they go to bed. Sometimes we will read the book at the same time or read them each their own book. Our children are 15 months, 3 years, and 7 years.

  2. I would sing her "Baby Mine"

  3. Samantha likes I song that her grandpa used to sing before he died, it goes

I came home that early day early day

came home that sweet ol' day

    when I came in smellin'

    that ol' country day!

The refrain he replaced it with

"Seeing my daughters Em Han and Ann! (Emily Hannah and Annamariah) seeing my grandaughters Samantha and Charlie seeing my big ol' boys Frodo the big one Pix the tough one oh sweet summer sky!!!

It's longer then that, but Samantha loves it.

  4. A few times when my youngest sister was a baby I'd use the song RHCP 'Under the Bridge' to sing her to sleep.

  5. When my kids were little I did play lullaby cassettes but once they got older that sort of faded out.

  6. Music playing on a cd player, but only for like 3 months then I would just rock them to sleep

  7. no, i just talk to them very quietly until they fall asleep telling them how much i love them

  8. I sing all the songs my mother sang to me as a child...and then when he's tired enough, he points to his crib, I lay him down and he falls asleep to an instrumental lullaby cd very very low in the background.

But the staples that we sing are:

    Green Fields - Brothers Four

Yellow Bird - Don't know who sang it

    I Will - The Beatles

    Clouds - Judy Collins?

  9. I hum rock a by and good night to my son over and over again every night while rocking him to sleep.

  10. My 6 month old daughter has this Fish Aquarium that makes noises just like the ocean, and has a sort-of night light on it. Be careful of what you play for your child before they go to sleep because before you know it - it's going to become routine, and I swear they will scream if they don't have it! I've been trying to take my daughter's "fishy" away for about a week now, and it's not working as well as I had hoped. =[ LOL

    Good Luck!
