Do different kinds of Kuhli stick with each other?

I have 3 black (java) loaches in my 30-gallon tank with a ton of other community fishes, well planted.

Everything is good.

I wanna add 1 more loach, no more room after that.

Would a regular Kuhli Loach become part of the Black Loaches' group?

By regular I mean those that look like this:

Thanks! Just wondering if they really are the same, just different color.

  1. These are different species, and the chances of this working aren't great...  You could give it a try, but don't expect it to work, and be prepared to return the regular Kuhli for some moe Black Kuhlis.
