Question:

Do different pilot jets matter?

I recently on my 81 suzuki gn400 (single cylinder/carb) rejetted to a 45 from a 42.5. The stock had a jet with holes spiraling around it, but the new one does not. Runs a bit better, not great. Do you think this makes a difference?
