Do different strains of marijuana smell different?

I switched dealers and his weed smells way different than weed. But I don't think it's laced. All of the side effects are exactly like weed and only weed. It just smells different.

yes, it can vary greatly in smell and appearance from strain to strain and from grower to grower

What I have heard is that the quality is reflected in the smell.  The stinker the pot, the better it is.
