Do digital clocks make our brains lazy?

I think so. I work with middle school children and several of them absolutely refuse to try and read a real clock. They look at me, they look at the clock, then they look back at me and ask me what time it is. I think that learning to read the face of a clock helps develop mathematical and logical skills (which is why it takes some people so long to learn how to do so).
