  1. Until St. Aquinas put Aristotle into Christianity, Plato was the "distraction" in the lives all of Western civilization.

Do you think the Dark Ages were not a "problem"? Now, Plato is the distraction again, introduced to us by Kant's use of his epistemology. Civilization is declining because of it.

    Yes, distractions create problems.

  2. yes, myspace/facebook.

HUGE distraction when your trying to work on school stuff, essays etc. during the school year.  it causes MAJOR procrastination when your trying to get all that important stuff done :/

  3. maybe you could elaborate on that. I think people who text while driving are insane , especially on the free way! I know you may be waiting for that unexpected call or text , just pull to the side of the road with your hazard lights. It is better safe then sorry later......Yes I do, to a certain degree believe distractions can cause problems, because you loose sight of what is right in front you in a given situation, like a wandering boyfriend or spouse , or what people think about you. When in all actuality who cares in the end you have to live for you and not them. (God) made us all  look      special in our own  way.  It  would be simply boring for us all to look alike. Their are many different color birds , different breeds of dogs etc... Love your life...... problems come and go in the end you would be stronger for whatever you face.....

  4. It depends on the distraction.  If you mean cell phones while driving...I'd have to say YES.  Same goes for texting, and dialing.

Then again, the car accident I was in was because the lady was yelling at her kids in the back seat while trying to find something good on the stereo.

That's the only distraction I have a problem with right now.

  5. yes,

TV, internet, cell phone, ipod,... what happened to communication face to face or visiting each other and having the time to listen to each other? I miss the old days.
