  1. It depends.

  2. Some doctors earn more than lawyers and some lawyers earn more than doctors ;o)

  3. At each level of experience and specialization, doctors make more than lawyers.  I am a lawyer, I am married to a lawyer, my father, brother and several cousins are lawyers.  I have a brother-in-law and four cousins who are doctors.  We are spread across the country in different stages of our careers and I can tell you unequivocally that doctors make more than lawyers.

  4. The average wage for legal professionals is 52k, for medical practitioners 69k.

  5. Doctors earn more than lawyers because the amount of people getting sick are more than being sued, but then again it depends on which fields they are in.

  6. This question is impossible to answer because there are different kinds and different levels of doctors and lawyers. On average, generally, they make between $100,000 and into the millions per year. This is like asking who's taller -- it depends entirely on which doctor you're comparing with which lawyer.

An associate lawyer doesn't make what a partner does, and a partner doesn't make what a managing partner does, who is again making less than a named partner. Then all that varies again between different sizes and calibre of law firms, and AGAIN in what kind of law they practice -- whether they're in Legal Aid or private defense, a Crown/State attorney or if they're in corporate mergers and litigation.

A family physician makes less than a specialist, surgeons might make less than plastic surgeons, or they might not.
