Do doctors or consultants get paid to sit on the educational special needs panels in the Local Education Authority in the UK,even if they are also employed by the national health service.

  2. No - not for something like that!

  3. Yes as it would be part of their remit, they are being asked to assess a child needs, write a report and attend meetings etc.  This will be time consuming, however as it is their job don't think they would be paid extra as it would already be paid for.

  4. it is voluntary lucky man. doctors get paid by the NHS, the only time it will differ is with private healthcare or if the patient is from another country without a visa or an EU healthcard.

NO but they get paid and it is part of their job it is usually done in work time it is also a way to climb further up the ladder being recognised in certain Fields and they become an authority  on the matter and end up being more money for carrying out this service so yes they do it voluntary but to gain more status and in the end more money
