Do dogs get along with other small animals like bunnys, birds and guinea pigs?

dogs do not get along with birds and i know from experience. I had a pet budgie with 3 others and this one could not fly (wings clipped, didn't know when i bought her), and my dog and cat got in my room and killed my budgie the other 3 were fine, but since she couldn't fly my dog and cat got her.

My dog is okay with my bunny, but i'm sure he would try to kill her.

Basically dogs don't really get along well with any animals other than cats and maybe ferrets, depending.

ive read that it can be mixed...if they get along, make sure you supervise them at all times when they are together, because i read that even though it might not mean it, it could injure the smaller pets if hes just trying to play with them...he could also go back to natural instinct and try to eat them! so be careful anytime you let them together...

My dog gets along with my bunny really well now. At first he used to chase it a little but he was very playful. Now he's fine. Guinea pigs would be very simular to a bunny so if he gets on well with one then he should get along fine with the other too.

However, my dog isnt to keen on birds and when ever he sees one in the garden he will run upto it and bark but would not harm it.
