Do dogs or cats have good ears?

my boyfriend has this thing that says cats have better ears, but dogs definitely do.

i think dogs have good ears because they hear a lot of things that we can't here and some of the things they here is about two blocks away so i think dogs here the best!!

The hearing power of cat is much more powerful than that of humans and dogs. I find it a very fun past time to just watch my cats listen to sounds. They pick up on any tiny little sound and you can watch their little ears move around to catch it! They seem to even be listening for sounds while they are sleeping and if anything catches their interest they wake right up!
