Question:

Do doping scandals bring the much needed excitement in an otherwise boring Tour de France?

For years now the races look the same. A small group of cyclists goes away, for most of the stage and when the finishline approaches they are taken back into the main group and some sprinters are being bought to the finishline to race for the price. Why would I watch such a race for 3 or 4 hours?

The most exciting thing I remember of last years Tour de France was the way Rasmussen had to leave. Isn't that sad?

Still, I will enjoy watching Mart Smeets late in the evening (for the dutch readers ;-) )

  1. The Tour has gotten very predictable as you noted, I would like to see one or two riders attack every stage and leave the peloton in the dust. Where's Eddie Mercxk when we need him?
