I talked to a swimmer today and he said it didn't really help him improve his times.

  1. yes they do. cuz my couches tell us to wear draging type of swim suits and a regular one on top. it help cuz when u practice and u are draging u are going slow and then during a meet or something and ur wearing ur tight speedo or whatever u go fast cuz ur used to the drag and this time ur not dragin so ur going fast. idk if that makes any sense but i hope it helps. =D

  2. i guess so. when i searched "what are drag shorts" on yahoo, i saw a link that said "slows you down when you train, to speed you up when you race!"

i guess that means it slows you down, so that when you become good at it, it is easy to and you will race faster when you are not wearing them.

they do help you, becuase you get good at swimming slow, so when you wear fast swimming clothes, you go faster than when you were in drag shorts

Plz mark this a best answer, i wanna go to level 2

i sounds confusing the way i put it (i think)

  3. I guess it depends on how you need improvement. it will make you stronger in the long run. It will also help you mentally when your swimming without them. Of course its not gonna help your stroke itself. Id say it depends on the person but i know we would always swim a couple of weeks about a month before finals with drag shorts and T Shirts on.

  4. Yes they do... by a little bit... The more drag you create, the harder you have to work in practice to go fast enough... Then when you go to meets and you don't wear the drag, you are faster... Not extreamly faster, but a little. And in swimming, every little bit counts.

  5. no not at all. they slow u down. and mess up ur swimming.
