Do dragon flies eat fruit flies?

if they were kept in captivity can you feed them fruit flies

just wondering

Dragonfly.  These are not flies, Dipteran.  They are Odonata.  There are some 5300 species of Odonata.  I am sure at least on species would eat fruit flies.

Dragon flies eat fruit flies, or anything else flying their way.  I don't know if they will take food that is not flying.  Unless you have a very large building to keep them in, they are not going to do well in captivity.
