  1. No, the owners have to get the numbers from NASCAR.  It depends on which numbers are available.  


  2. No, I think the #s are picked by the team owners.

  3. no, i think the owner of the team pick the numbers the drivers drive.

  4. sometimes. when robby gordon started up his team he picked 7. But when a driver switches teams (with the exception of Dale jr.) they just drive the teams car.

  5. No, the team owners buy car numbers and then the drivers get contracts to drive them. Dale Jr. probably would have picked No. 8 when he went to HMS, but he couldn't because the No. 8 belonged to DEI.  

  6. Sorry to say but Nascar owns the numbers and the Team Owner has to choose from them..wish it was not so but that's Nascar
