  1. Yes.  They have been for quite awhile, but not delivering a lot of quantity.   Plus it isn't a viable delivery method since they aren't very fast either.  Not a lot of return for the investment.  A submarine doesn't have to be a nuclear power behemoth to be a submarine.

And Sasha B. is smoking something good.  Pass it our way.  LOL... submarines detectable by radar.... good one.... LOL

  2. You've been watching too many James Bond films! Whilst drug smugglers are increasingly inventive and underhanded, a submarine is not a viable option due to the difficulty in hiding it, running costs etc. Although they are stealthy by design, they are far easier to detect than commonly believed. The others who mentioned the towed beneath a boat method are spot on. I have seen this with my own eyes whilst in the army on secondment to the DEA in America. Some of the things I saw there were almost beyond belief!

  3. No. that's the short answer.

The long answer is: where would you buy a submarine, also submarines are VERY detectable by radar and you better believe if they saw a unknown submarine coming along there would be a few questions asked

  4. no if they are traveling with it abroard they can actually shape cocain to look likie porcilain figures..also some people put it in plastic bags and swallow it but have to be careful because if the plastic dissolves into the stomache acids the cocain is let lose in the stomach and they can die also they put it in giant craits and cover the top of the woodern craits with lots of sugar..:) hope i help xx also the people that swallow it usually put the drug in condoms that dont dissolve in acid fast and retreve it when they go to the toilet

  5. Most probably and air balloons too.

  6. Yes they do....

Anyone that tries to tell you different, just isn't up with "boating news" or the news in general.

Drug smugglers have been using submarines for several years now and are using them to land tons of cocaine on to American beaches.

A pair of submarines were found about two weeks ago in my area...  and DEA intelligence claims that drug smugglers are forcing engineers to help them to acquire and build submarines as a means of evading coastguards and satellites.

Not only that... The submarines are being built using what we call in the boat building business "a one off fiberglass" method using wood construction for its structure, and then fibreglassed over.  Of the ones they have confiscated, these submarines have a conning tower and periscope, four bunk beds and room to carry five tons of cocaine.  They were fitted with diesel engines and radar.

Coast Guard says the vessels are getting more and more sophisticated than 13 other submarines seized three years ago and were substantial enough to reach any USA shores.

Its been going on for years,  Here's just one of many-many links...  Check it out...

In fact, The Pentagon recently reported the capture of one drug smuggling submarine, including four tons of cocaine. Called “Big Foot” the submarine is powered by a six cylinder engine and can transport up to 15 tons of drugs for 2,000 nautical miles and is engineered to be refueled at sea. While the drugs were in the front of the sub, the rear included the engine and living quarters of the 2-3 crewmen.

  7. no, alot of drugs these days gets dragged behind boats underneath the water.

  8. Shakermaker is right, and the devices often are high tech. One kind can be dropped at a GPS location in the shallow waters of the continental shelf, and lay on the bottom until a local pleasure boat goes there and activates an audio signal, ordering it to rapidly surface by disconnecting from a heavy weight. They can snag it with a long gaffhook, without even slowing down! You would have to be right there to know anything had happened! The continental shelf is huge. Such shallow water has many possibilities, such as anchoring a floating city, using stainless steel cables and ferrocement barges. A huge percentage of the world's salt water is less than 100 feet deep. Regards, Larry.
