Im a little worried about this because i had a D&C two weeks ago and they gave me painkillers to help me. I just got a job at Target and they drug tested me, I asked them if they needed to know what my prescriptions were and they said no just tell the lab ppl when you take the urine test. So i went to the lab and asked them if i need to tell them my prescriptions, they said no. So im so confused, Because if i test positive for my painkillers how are they going to know that its prescribed? Do they check your medical History or what? I really need to know, Target says they will call me to confirm Job Orientation if my drug test goes ok. But they have not called yet and orientation is on Tuesday August 19th. Please help!

  1. You need to call them and tell them that the lab did not look at your prescription information and take them your prescription bottle.  If that isn't good enough get the prescribing physian to fax something.  They probably won't hold it against you if they don't find much in your system or if you can provide the proof.

  2. I would imagine all is well.  They are usually looking for illegal substances anyway......and if you tell them you are on a painkiller of sorts - or were - that should be alright.....I'm sure you passed with flying colors!

Good luck in the new job.  I love Target, by the way ;)
