Do each half stick of butter equal 1 stick?

Question

I know when you buy the sticks of butter they come in four like each half separately wrapped but do each of those individual sticks equal half a stick or 1 full stick. The measurements marked always make me think twice.

haha thats like a mind trick =D well its easy though yes each of the sticks have four different markings to show its a quarter of butter over the stick which would be 25/100 in fraction so put all the quarters of butter together to make a stick of butter =]
