  1. No. That is a myth. It does, pour water into your ear.


  2. While they don't generally climb into ears, and I knew this when I lived in an area populated by earwigs - I was extremely freaked out to wake up with an earwig crawling in my ear one night many years ago.

    It's an old wive's tale, but it happened to me once.  I'm sure the earwig didn't -mean- to wind up in an ear, though. :)

  3. Once they go in they can't back out so they eat their way right through.  Kidding.

      Earwigs couldn't care less about ears.

  4. There is no evidence earwigs have ever crawled into anyone's ear, that's an "old Wives' tale"...but they do like small spaces.
