Do electronic "pest eliminators" really work?

We have mice, have set traps with peanut butter(the boxes they crawl in) but so far they haven't fallen for it. I have a toddler so I really don't want anything poisonous or messy.

  1. We have on old farm house in Virginia and they did not work for us there.  Mice travel around the walls because they don't see very well.  Try placing the boxes of poison seed where the mice will be traveling but where your toddler can't reach them.  That is the only thing that worked for us.

  2. No, they do not work. If your traps haven't caught anything in a couple of days, you need to move them. Place the trap along the baseboard in areas where you have found droppings.

  3. I heard that they don't work. You need to just move.

  4. yes they do work I live right out in the sticks and hate rodents! since I got one about 9 months ago have,nt had a sign of any problems!

  5. NO!  They don't work!  We live in a wooded lot so we get mice when the temp drops.  I thought I'd try the electronic pest controllers especially in the kitchen where I'd found droppings... I put 3 units in the kitchen at varying heights... One on the countertop where I found droppings one on the other side and one near the floor!  Well, the next day I found MORE dropping right by the thing!  So, I put them ALL in the basement outlets!

I caught 2 with sticky traps placed behind the appliances so my dog/children couldn't reach....

I've also started putting cottonballs with peppermint/spearmint oil in my cupboards, drawers to discourage mice... They don't like the smell.. As well as keeping my entire kitchen spotless!

    good luck
