Question:

Do emotions have an equal opposite action?

For every action there is an equal opposite action, so does that also apply to emotions, for every child born there is happiness yet at that very moment there is sadness somewhere with someone else mourning the death of a loved one. Or for every happy marriage there is a bitter divorce.

Not even sure what i said, whats your thoughts, maybe i just cracked.

  1. I think this can be true.  Like for every emotional high you experience, you experience an equal emotional low?  Like when you're with your boyfriend or girlfriend and you are so happy, but then you break up and your degree of sadness is directly proportional to the degree of happiness you had while together.  The happier you were, the sadder you are.  Something like that.

  2. Nope. sometimes emotions just sit there

  3. You are applying Newton's Law of Motion on emotions. Newton's Law of Motion applies very well on matter or concrete objects. You have a point but I don't think it is applicable to human emotions. Because we have the choice of whether we want to feel sad or happy. So, no. In my own point of view, I don't think it applies.

  4. If you believe in the universal yin and yang, sure, but alas, emotions are not actually actions. Interesting thought though.
