  2. The difference is when you demonstrate what you did with your skills.

    I did landscape design by distance learning, and I made a seasonal living with it. They usually didn't ask for my credentials except for when a competitor was doing some digging. Then you keep your mouth shut.

  3. I don't know about looking down on them but if they are choosing between the person who went to an online college or one who went to a university I'm sure that the University degree would carry more weight.  Check out a public university, most have classes that may be taken online that will help to fit your schedule better.

  4. If its from an acredited college than not really, at least not for lower end or entry level jobs.  It may matter when you get higher up in managment.  Just having a degree in of itself is no garuntee these days anyway as its what you know that matters to most employers.

  5. I don't think so but it might if looking for a white collar job. I personally don't see anything wrong with online degrees because that is just another advancement our society has made.  

  6. Depends on where it's from.  If it's from a respected school, isn't likely to matter.
