Do you mean application or resume?

Typically companies will only have one version for an application.  Many companies have an ATS (applicant Tracking System) and therefore prefer online applications.  So when looking on their website or monster, careerbuilder, etc... there would be a link that takes you to a database then fill out the application.

If you are speaking about resume's which I feeling you might be, submit it however the job posting suggests - typically via email in Word format.
