  1. Yes, you actually end up with a minor in math, and if you are an Electrical Engineer, depending on the school, you may get close to a minor in computer science.  My sister graduated with dual degrees in computer science and Electrical Engineering.  I have minors in Biology, math, CS, and almost chemistry as an electrical engineer.  It just takes work, time, and money.

  2. I graduated from Texas A&M in May with a Petroleum Engineering B.S. and a business minor.  It entailed 15 hours (5 classes) of simple business classes which really boosted by GPR!  An important note though, I took my time and graduated in 5 years.... but it was worth it i think.

  3. im going to be an electrical engineer and we automatically get a minor in math, but if it is unrelated then you would need more classes than time would allow in a normal 4 year degree program.

  4. i am about to finish an aerospace engineering degree at UCF and i did not have time to complete a minor. The degree itself was 128 credits, 8 more credits than most other degrees. On top of that, the course work requires a lot of attention.

you don't get by just by reading a book and answering true false questions like some degrees, you actually have to spend 30minutes or more to do one math problem. if you don't take the time to practice, you'll be screwed. i would not want the burden

  5. At my school we (engineering majors) aren't even allowed to get a minor.  Same thing as above though, 128 credit hours.  It would be nice to take a few extra classes and have a minor in math though...
