Do envelopes that are posted in the UK to a UK adress with not the right kind/ not enough stamps get desposed?

Or are they all labelled with a sticker with the X amount of outstanding pounds that handling cost?

  1. They will deliver if someone is there to pay the excess postage and penalty charge. If no one is home, you have to collect from sorting office, provide identification, and pay charges if you want to receive letter.

    If you refuse to accept, would assume letter will be returned to sender. If no return address, letter will be disposed of.


  2. they will go to your local post office, where you will get a note with X amount to pay for the extra stampage.

  3. Sometimes they do delivery for you BUT will ask for the other side to pay the rest of the amount before they can collect the posts.  OR.... they might just get back to sender's address (if you've written one at the back).  I wouldn't think they'll just bin them cos sometimes ppl really don't have time to go to weigh every single post they wanna send.

  4. they all should be labelled and a note put through the recipients door asking them to pay the difference
