  1. they wear either contacts or glasses. it really depends on personal preference.

glasses are usually custom made to slip into the helmet and "hug" the skull so that they dont fall off when riding.

contacts dry out easily but they are alright for short rides.

  2. I wear my standard vision correction glasses when riding at all times, an accident when I was three left me so near sighted I am nearly blind without them.  Contacts at high speeds can dry out out and there is always the chance of losing one at the wrong moment, say coming to the next fence...  When I'm training I wear only the glasses but as an extra precaution I use a sports head wrap during shows to make sure my glasses don't go anywhere, I have known a few people who have gotten sports glasses in their prescription for competition, but I don't know anyone who wears sports glasses that doesn't need them and a lot of professionals will wear sunglasses or yellow tinted glasses when competeing in the sun to reduce glare.  But then, I'm a jumper rider and we don't have to worry about thoroughbreds kicking dirt in out faces.

  3. if their eyesight isn't horrible they probably  don't wear either.  i would imagine contacts are better cause you wouldn't want your glasses flying off your head...but then again contacts might dry out?  idk

  4. Their contacts i would say, however it would be up to them, some mite still where glasses. They generally were goggles so contacts would be pretty protected but if wearing glasses goggles may be anoying on the top. So id say majority would go with contacts. I wouldnt reconmend riding with contacts. At our local club we arnt even aloud to wear sunnies unless their perscription, as its to dangerous.
