Do expensive colleges offer more money?!?

i just filled my fafsa for a school that charge 29990 per year..will my award be more compared to when i was at a communtiy college????

  1. Once your need is determined, your award package will be calculated. If you get 50% assistance, for example, the dollar amount would be greater for a school with higher tuition, of course. The problem with the more expensive schools is that the portion left over for you to pay then is also greater.


  2. Nope. You will get the same amount of aid regardless of the tuition of your program/school.

    Aid is based on need and nothing else.

  3. The FAFSA will tell you how much you are expected to pay. The school then tries to help you find the rest. Each school has it's own standards and policies. It could be they have more money to give or it could be you would have to take out more loans.  If you feel you can't afford that school, you can always go somewhere else.
