  1. I've had one for about 17 years now and it hasn't gone away. For the most part, I dont even notice it, but once in a while, if I think about it, I see it floating down in my vision.  My Dr. told me, they never go away, luckily for the most part they dont impair your vision.


  2. No.  There's nowhere for them to go.  In fact, you tend to get more of them as time goes by.  The only way to get rid of them is to have them surgically removed with a vitrectomy.

  3. NO, floaters are protien in eyes that floats in the jelly part of the eye, they do not go away and in fact may even get worse when you get older but in turn the longer you have them the more used to them you get and they dont bother vision as much.
