  1. to shield your eyes from dandruff

  2. They are actually designed to help keep dust and debris out of your eyes. They are like back up eye lashes.

  3. it serves for the same purpose as eye lashes...to prevent dust falling into your eyes and also for temperature  maintanence.

  4. aside from it giving you more expression, your eyebrows also:

    - it catches dust and small debris so that it doesn't get to your eyes.

    - prevents the sweat and moisture from your forehead from getting into your eyes. in case you haven't tried it, sweat in your eyes can sting.  the hairs of your eyebrow catches the sweat from going directly to your eye.  moreover, it  diverts it along the eyebrow's arch down to the sides of your eyes so that it can trickle down closer to your temples instead.

    - it also acts as a glare deflector so that you can see better when it's sunny or if there's a strong light.  in the same way that some predator animals, like the cheetah, have naturally have dark rims around their eyes so they can see clearer and farther under the sun, the eyebrow helps us see better by deflecting glare.  (try putting some saran wrap on your eyebrows while standing under the sun.  you will notice that the glare from that makes it a bit more difficult to see and you end up squinting more.)

  5. prevent sweat from getting into your eyes

  6. Eyebrows are important to in-person, up-close communication. For example when we're surprised or pleased we raise them and when we're angry we lower them in a scowl.

Humans are social animals and any physical feature that aids in communication between us is an asset. Having eyebrows improves the fitness (survival) of an individual because it makes communication more accurate and meaningful.

  7. yes, reduces sun glare and  sweat flow to the eyes.

  8. It's like the hair on your head. Like birds and animals, hair and feathers make the species more attractive to the opposite s*x. Eyebrows help frame your eyes to make them more appealing, that's all. But s*x is very important and comes in a close second to eating which is the top drive of life forms. Without s*x the specie dies off and evolution stops.

  9. You raise them when people say crazy stuff. That way they know that they should seek help before it's too late.

  10. they keep stuff from falling into your eyes, your eyelashes are the last defense against it as well.  without both, you will notice that you have a lot more stuff in your eyes.

  11. It's to trap sand and dirt and stuff like that to keep from getting into your eyes.

  12. It reduces the amount of dandruff falling from your head into your eyes.
