This is quite a peculiar question that came up between a conversation my mother and I were having. You see, my grandmother had just bought two marvelous kittens and they have very small faces and cute little eyes, and I just looked at my own cat, who is 4 years old, and obviously her face is not nearly as small, also, I noticed that her eyes are not small, which made me stubble upon the question of 'Do eyes grow?' So do they?

  1. eyes doesn't grow. eyes is the only parts of our body that don't grow.

  2. i would think so because when your a baby your eyes are no way the same size as they are when your an adult

    but i dont know

  3. they do grow. if your body is growing, then something in your body must be growing too.

  4. At birth, the head and structures within it, such as the eyes and brain, are more developed in proportion to the rest of the body. The head and eyes increase in width by only 1.5 times up to the age of 5 years, and after that only a very small proportion more until early adulthood. So the eyes do grow slightly, probably only a matter of millimetres, and only up to age 5 or so

  5. When we are born, the eyes are at 2/3 of the adult size. The eyes do grow but not as much as the hands & legs.

I.e. when the eyes grows too long (in relation to the focusing power), we get myopia or short-sightedness.

I am not too sure about the eyes of kittens but I am pretty sure about human eyes

    Hope this helps

  6. your eyes grow so little you don't even notice. and ears and noses never stop growing!!!
