  1. an EFC an estimated family contribution and is what the government thinks your family should pay for your college based on your college's cost of attendance...

i dont know who is billing you the 2945...but chances are if it's on-campus housing your financial aid might cover it, if it's off campus housing through a private leaser then you'll have to pay out of pocket and then your college will refund you any financial aid you may have gotten...

  2. FAFSA money can be used to pay for any education related expenses, including housing, meal plan, books, etc.  I'm not sure what an efc is, so I can't help you with that, sorry.

  3. I think  most schools put this on your bill that will have all your charges from the semester. And FAFSA doesn't actually pay you any money, (that is the acronym for the application that determines your eligibility) you will get grants from the state and federal government which will be paid to your student account. Loans are paid from direct student loans or wherever you get you loans from. The EFC is how much you are supposed to pay out of pocket, so you are supposed to get enough financial aid in grants/loans/workstudy/scholarships (if you qualify) to cover everything besides your EFC.

  4. I'm not sure...maybe.  Get in contact with the FAFSA people and find out who has to pay what. Some money you get from aid and some you have to pay. Call and find out. Good Luck!!
