Do fair and lovely products really work?

it seems so believable but i want to find out the truth behind the ads and if i should test it?

  1. I think it is sad that you would want to lighten your skin. Don't try it and they probably don't work anyway.

Skin whitening products do appear to work (depending on the specific product), but there are health concerns regarding cancer risks and long term thinning of the skin or loss of collagen (the stuff that makes skin smooth). Hydroquinone appears to be the most common and effective skin whitening agent, and it acts by inhibiting your skin's ability to produce pigment. I would imagine this effect would be lost if you stopped using the cream and since the long-term effects don't appear to be good I would avoid using it at all personally.

    It would be far better to find or cultivate the beauty of your natural self rather than try to force your body to do something it wouldn't naturally do.
