Do fathead minnows like plants and do they normally hid under or between rocks?

Also it's the weirdest thing, I started off with five fish and within hours I only see three. It's as if the other two disapeared! Help me. I'm knew at this.

I`v got some of those in one of my tanks to,I have live plants in all my tanks though..My minnows never hide,they constantly swim and eat..
