  1. I believe Featherweights use 8oz gloves. In the pro's they only have two sizes, 10oz and 8oz.


  2. no in fact glove weight goes down only in heavier weight divisions. Most featherweight fights are going to be done with 16 oz gloves which are the largest

  3. it depends on what state the fight is being held in but general regulation is 147 and below 8oz. and 154 and above is 10oz., but in las vegas 135 and below is 8oz. and 140 and above is 10oz., it just depends on the state commissioner

  4. Gloves are not assigned to weight classes at all. It is all in the specific fight contract.

  5. Welterweight (147) and below use 8 oz gloves.

    Super Welterweight (154) and above use 10 oz gloves.

    Some state boxing commissions may have different regulations.

    That first answer was just plain stupid. LOL, bigger guys using smaller gloves. ROFL.
