  1. NO and yes... I am a felon and I do have the right to vote.... I have for several years . I haven't had my recorded expunge or anything either .  Felons do get called to jury duty but they are supposed to let them know the they are a felon then they will pay you for taking the time off work to answer your summons and you will not get to participate in the jury. and for some of you find out your facts before you just blurt out answers about felons. Its really sad that you think you are better than a felon its racial.

  2. / A convicted felon cannot serve on a jury.

The jury pool comprises good citizens, from their voter registration listing.

A convicted felon is ineligible to vote.

All US Citizens have inalienable rights, however when abused, some are taken away from them.

  3. No.  Juries are called up from voter registrations, so if you don't vote you never get called to sit on a jury.  Felons are not allowed to vote, so they never get called for jury duty.

  4. I believe that is one of the rights they give up when they are found guilty.

  5. Names for jury summons are drawn from a number of different sources depending on the jurisdiction you live in.  It is not always voter registration lists - sometimes they tap the drivers license database.

A felon may get called and be required to appear for screening, but he will be dismissed as soon as they find out he's a felon.  This will be one of the first questions they ask, so he would be dismissed very early on in the process.

  6. The answer is no. Felons are ineligible for jury service in federal courts and in 39 states, and they also are ineligible when it comes ti voting, receiving federal aid,.etc.
