Do female animals like hamster and horses do they have periods?

it sounds weird but i'd like to know

horses get in heat. they pee a lot and "wink."

My experience has taught me that dogs do have periods.  I asked my vet and he states that all female animals do. If they did not they would not be able to produce offspring.  Note- you can have the female fixed so that she does  not have one.

Dogs will bleed while in heat. I believe cats do too.

I'm not sure about others as far as human signs of a period. But they all go into heat.

of course they do. all mammals do!

They do. It's called "heat". It's quite similar to a human's period. Except it's the only time that animal can become pregnant. Most smaller animals (cats, dogs, rabbits, etc.) are spayed so that they don't come into heat.

maybe it has to do with them being spayed.....
