  1. I have raised several breeds over the years and I would say that yes, most become more aggressive. It is natural though as they just want to protect their babies.

You must get a nestbox. Without one the babies will be scattered throughout the cage and may die.

How did she get pregnant to begin with? All rabbits should have their own cages unless spayed and neutered.

  2. No, having babies won't make her mean.  They get testy and antsy when they want to be bred sometimes.  That's it. Not when they have the babies.

If you don't give her a nest box she would stress and have the babies on the wire/floor.  They will likely die on their own, get injured or mom might eat them because she is stressed.  You just don't purposely not give a doe a nest box.

Sounds like you could use some help here.  Buy and read "Storey's Guide to Raising Rabbits" by Bob Bennett.  Get it now.  A rabbit's gestation period is not that long so get to reading. Okay?

Breeding mammals is not something that should be taken lightly.  The information should have been obtained before this point.  Best wishes to you and your pet

  3. They can. Have her spayed. There are more than enough unwanted rabbits in the world.

  4. It's going to depend on how loving you treat her before she has babies or even before she got pregnant, if she is.  Some become mean to protect their babies--they're just being a good mom.

As for the next box, you really should do that.  It will go much better for her and the babies if you do.  She won't feel so threatened as she will if you don't get her a nest box.

Just love her, be gentle with her, no quick moves, or threatening moves.  Once her babies get big enough, she'll settle down.

  5. Female rabbits do not become mean but they do prect there babies just like any other living thing.
