Do feminists relish the fact that Colonel Sanders had to spend all day in the kitchen?

shamu, I have nothing but the highest respect for the Colonel. He's responsible for about 30 pounds of my body weight.

pft.....come here to Kentucky and we'll educate you on some Colonel Sanders and KFC history and maybe a little respect for a good man who was a jack of all trades and did everything he could to make sure his family was taken care of.

I imagine Mrs. Sanders sitting in the La-z-boy with an evening newspaper, a cigar, and a scotch on the rocks, hollering at the Colonel to fetch her slippers, fer chrissakes, she's been working all day. Something he would know nothing about. What does he DO all day, anyway? And could he PLEASE make meatloaf for a change? It seems all he ever makes is chicken, chicken, and more chicken.

If you read his life story, you will find that it was impressive. He tried a number of careers such as military service, insurance salesman, railroad firefighter, and farmer. None of those proved to be successful for him. It wasn't until the age of 40 when he began cooking chicken dinners for customers at his service station that he hit upon something. For the next 15 years, he perfected his recipes until he began franchising Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants at the age of 65. He's a classic example of how it's never too late to start over again.
