  1. Feminists will complain about not having enough opportunity until they get the outcome they want.

  2. Yes, for crying out loud. When we observe situations in which the outcome is not equal, we examine whether or not the opportunity is. In many cases, there are factors getting in the way of one group's advancement.

  3. u mean... income?

they know that's why we are so upset!

  4. No, I don't think they do, and that is their problem.

  5. I find it amazing that so many of the people answering don't even understand your question. So, let me answer.

I think that, in today's society, both women and men get roughly the same opportunities. It would be difficult to find any one instance, and I have yet to find one, where either s*x is deprived of an OPPORTUNITY that the other receives easily. However, sometimes the outcome, or result of the opportunity, is different. Men might be less successful in some areas that women excel in, and men might have an easier time doing other things than women. That's perfectly normal: it's the opportunity that counts. And, personally, when examining some Title IX decisions, it would appear that some feminists are more concerned with outcomes than opportunities. One person who answered this question epitomized this sentiment when he/she said that the problem was that there aren't enough women who hold political office. Again, there's no one holding them back from running: they just have to win fairly like everybody else. And, since women have the right to vote, they aren't kept from office from a sexist patriarchy of conspiring males.

  6. Of course. Everyone should have equal opportunities but that doesn't mean everyone would end up on the same level. It depends on the person.

  7. Yes.  Problem is there isn't equal opportunity yet.  Not by a longshot.

*What percentage of powerful people in government are female?  There's your answer.

  8. From your basic question, I am wondering if you are inferring that men and women who have the same positions should be paid differing salaries.

Some interesting points is that although there are more women graduates at the Bachelors and Masters Levels, women are 70 percent less likely to be made partners at law firms than men.  Given that women and men spend the same amount to earn their degrees and will need to put in the same amount of billable hours, this is very disconcerning information.

Today colleges are looking to even the playing field by lowering the application standards for men so that the ratio of men to women will be equal.

  9. No - because your question makes no sense..

  10. Not sure what 'equal outcome' means - but I guess it would be the result of all contenders being treated and considered, equally and objectively.

  11. Yes. Do understand that we have not achieved equal opportunity yet?

  12. You cannot generalise when speaking about feminists. there are different branches, those who believe in equality and those who believe women are superior because the male is 'lacking'. and by this they mean the male lacks an organ whose only function is to give pleasure- the clitoris.

Speaking as the first type of feminist- yes i understand that. you shouldn't generalise so much

  13. I think with enough time the women who now have these opportunities will eventually take them.  That at some point you will see women increase in politics and other male dominated fields.  I think right now women are hesitant because we see the simple aggression to us just getting the rights.  Women as a whole tend to be afraid of being the first and have to deal with the harassment of breaking into one of the boys clubs.

  14. No, they don't.  The problem is they always ignore situations in which they have the advantage and dwell on situations where they have a disadvantage.  This is the result of "compartmentalized" reasoning and is the reason why the more advantages a woman gets, the more she complains.

  15. Specifically, what do you mean??
