Do fighter pilots still have to do checklists when they're scrambled?

there's something like 180 visual checks the pilots have to make before they even start the engines right? If they have to be scrambled, do they just check the most important things or do they check everything as fast as they can?

  1. A military pilot is not responsible for EVERYTHING on a flight checklist. Crew has responsibilities, but the pilot ALWAYS does his part!

  2. It would be interesting to hear how interceptor pilots do it.

At Presque Isle, Maine interceptors were airborne in under 6 minutes from first notice.  The hangar would open front and back so the interceptor could fire up without being towed out.  The (downhill) taxiway angled toward the runway end, and the (downhill) runway was aligned in the direction of the path to intercept planes arriving from the northeast.
